BOTANY APARTMENT DESIGN AND DECORATION
This Botany apartment underwent a complete transformation through thoughtful design and decoration. What was once a dark and disconnected space is now cohesive, inviting, and beautifully styled. With careful selection of art, furnishings, and accessories, every room now feels balanced and personal, a true reflection of how professional apartment interior design can elevate a home.
Apartment Styling and Decoration in Botany
When the client first contacted me, her apartment had great bones but lacked warmth and character. The walls were bare, the spaces felt a little dull, and there was no sense of flow between the living and dining areas. She already had some lovely pieces such as a comfortable sofa and elegant blue velvet dining chairs, but nothing tied the rooms together.
My goal was to create a home that felt cohesive, inviting, and full of life. By layering texture, colour, and art, I turned a plain apartment into a beautifully styled home. Every piece was chosen with intention, ensuring the design felt natural and personal rather than overly decorated.

Living and Dining Room Transformation
The living and dining area is now the heart of this Botany apartment. A large wool rug in soothing blue and golden hues grounds the entire space, adding softness underfoot while connecting all the surrounding furniture. Its tones echo the colour of the velvet dining chairs, bringing unity between the living and dining zones.
Above the dining table, a striking piece of art became the new focal point. It ties together the gold and blue palette found throughout the apartment. On the dining table, a gold bowl adds a touch of elegance without overpowering the space.
In the living room, the addition of plush velvet cushions and carefully curated accessories introduced depth and warmth. Together, these details created a sense of harmony and flow that was missing before. The result is a refined yet comfortable space that feels complete, cohesive, and truly lived in.

Bedroom Design and Finishing Touches
Each bedroom received a unique design treatment while maintaining connection to the overall scheme. Previously, the rooms held only the essentials such as beds, headboards, and bedside tables, but they lacked personality and softness.

I introduced art prints above the beds to create visual interest and bring colour to the walls. The artwork guided the selection of new bedding, chosen in complementary tones and layers of texture to evoke comfort and style. Textured throws, decorative cushions, and accessories gave each bedroom depth and a welcoming feel. The result is a pair of serene, stylish retreats that now reflect the client’s taste and lifestyle.

This project highlights the value of styling and finishing touches. The art, bedding, and accessories that take a room from functional to beautiful and cohesive.
Why It’s Worth Hiring an Interior Stylist
Many people wonder whether it is worth hiring an interior stylist in Sydney, and the answer is almost always yes.
An interior stylist brings professional knowledge of scale, colour balance, and composition, ensuring every room feels connected and thoughtfully designed. Styling is not just about placing cushions or art. It is about creating mood, proportion, and a sense of flow that elevates a home.

For apartment owners, investors, or Airbnb hosts, working with an experienced stylist can save both time and costly mistakes. A stylist knows where to invest, how to select the right size furniture, and how to make a small or awkward space feel luxurious and cohesive. It is one of the most effective ways to maximise your apartment’s potential and create a home that feels truly complete.
